Under REDA, the AER operates with no public interest or public health mandate, owe no duty of care to the public, are not beholden to the Public Service Act and are legally immune from all their regulatory actions or inactions, all while being 100% industry funded.
In other words, the AER is a rubber stamp of approval for industry regardless of the impacts to public, environmental, wildlife or livestock health.
