Resource is brought to you by the Alberta Energy Regulator.
Calgary - December 3, 2018

If there is ever any doubt that grassroots groups can incite change, one only need look to the Sundre Petroleum Operators Group (SPOG) for reassurance.

Since 1992, the community-based group has worked with residents, landowners, and industry to improve the relationships between Albertans and oil and gas companies. SPOG has also brought about major improvements in emergency response in the province.

The Alberta Energy Regulator’s (AER’s) support of SPOG and its work is unwavering, as explained by the AER’s regional manager of Stakeholder Engagement, Julia Fulford, in this Mountain View Gazette story. Fulford, who recently attended SPOG’s annual general meeting, says “SPOG really does play an important leadership role in this community. Keep up the good work.”
